On the same p2p platform it clearly states DO NOT RELEASE FUNDS UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED THE DEPOSIT IN YOUR ACCOUNT, so if you did not follow instructions, I hope it doesn't happen to you again

I never thought I would fall victim myself; in fact, it happened. I tried to sell USDT through P2P and released the cryptocurrency after the buyer showed me what looked like a bank receipt. A few minutes later, I realized: there was no money in my account. The buyer disappeared right after.
I reported it on the spot, but unfortunately, it was already too late by then.
Here is what this painful lesson taught me:
Never release your cryptocurrency until the funds have fully arrived in your bank.
Always check the exact time of the transaction and the account holder's name.
Never rely solely on screenshots; verify everything through your actual banking app.
This experience could happen to anyone, even experienced traders. If my mistake helps just one person avoid the same fate, it is worth sharing. 🙏
