#XSuperApp X, from Elon Musk, is planning to launch a credit or debit card later this year as part of the billionaire's plans to transform the platform into a super app, similar to WeChat, the Chinese app that integrates messaging, payments, and shopping, according to a report from the Financial Times.
In an interview with the British newspaper, X's CEO, Linda Yaccarino, added that users will soon be able to organize their entire financial life within the social media platform, whether through investments or trading.
The proposal to enter financial services comes after the company announced the launch, also this year, of X Money, a digital wallet and peer-to-peer payment service, initially in partnership with Visa. The new feature will first be launched in the United States before expanding to other markets.
