Cornell University in the USA published a preprint of a scientific paper titled 'Who Uses AI to Write Code? Global Spread and Impact of Generative AI'. It turned out that Russians are among the leaders.
⚡️ Scientists analyzed exclusively Python projects on the GitHub platform, which significantly narrows the sample.
⚡️ In first place are Americans, who write with the help of AI 30.1% of all functions.
⚡️ In second place are the residents of France (23.2%), and closing the top three are Indians (21.6%).
⚡️ Programmers from Russia took a prestigious fourth place with a result of 15.4%, significantly ahead of one of the leaders in AI implementation — China (11.7%).
⚡️ However, it should not be assumed that the results are unequivocal. Firstly, not all programmers use Python.
