There has been a noticeable escalation in exchanges of strikes between Iran and Israel over the past ten hours:
Iran launched waves of missiles and drones at Israeli cities, including the Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, resulting in over 240 civilian injuries and significant damage.
In response, Israel continued to strike Iranian military and nuclear facilities, including missile production sites and Iranian bases within the capital Tehran and major cities.
The total number of casualties shows a rapid increase, with around 657 Iranians killed according to human rights organizations, compared to 24 casualties on the Israeli side.
On the diplomatic front, the European Union is leading talks in Geneva with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who confirmed Tehran's rejection of any American or European negotiations while the airstrikes continue.
The United States is hinting at the possibility of military intervention; President Trump announced a two-week deadline before making a decision on substantial support for Israel, and is also considering sending equipment and strengthening naval presence in the region.
In short, the war is now entering its second week following a new wave of escalation that included strikes on hospitals and nuclear sites, alongside European diplomatic efforts and an American threat of a decision within two weeks.
