#XSuperApp

AN APP FOR EVERYTHING

Elon is preparing a bombshell: X will be an "app for everything". Musk is making steady progress to realize his all-encompassing vision of X, a digital ecosystem not only for socializing or getting informed, but also for conducting financial transactions, e-commerce, sending and receiving money, trading in crypto... Practically eliminating the need to resort to countless apps that fill our phones.

Inspired by the popular Chinese app WeChat, the heart of this super app, as some are already calling it, will be complete financial services. Some reports detailing the social media giant's roadmap to soon launch investment and commerce features have already leaked.

The top boss, the CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, has confirmed that users will soon be able to manage their entire financial life within the app. This will be possible through "X Money", a digital wallet being developed in partnership with Visa. This wallet will allow users to: Make peer-to-peer (P2P) payments, carry out money transfers, and link debit and credit cards.

And what about cryptocurrencies? Well, although it has not been confirmed what we might find within Elon’s superduper app, the South African magnate's inclination towards coins like Dogecoin ignites the debate of seeing a cryptocurrency market soon on the platform.

Beyond finance
While financial services are a key piece, Musk's vision for the super app encompasses many other areas. The idea is to build on the existing social network and add layers of functionality, which would include:

E-commerce: Buy products directly from the platform.
Enhanced messaging: Advanced chat features, voice, and video calls.
Video content and live streaming: Enhancing the platform's current capabilities.
Artificial Intelligence: With the integration of Grok, its own AI chatbot, to provide answers and assistance to users.
When will it be available?
There is no single release date for the "super app" in its entirety. X's strategy is to implement these functionalities progressively. While the term "soon" is the one most used by the company's executives, many of the new financial features are expected to begin rolling out throughout 2025. The "X Money" service is already in limited testing phases.

Elon Musk's ambition is clear: to turn X into an indispensable tool in people's digital lives, centralizing a large part of their interactions and transactions in a single, powerful platform. The success of this endeavor would not only redefine X but could significantly alter the landscape of applications and financial services in the West.
