According to Foresight News, Cantina has announced the launch of Web3SOC, a standardized assessment framework designed for institutional and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. The initiative aims to foster a secure and compliant decentralized financial ecosystem. The framework was developed in collaboration with several projects, including Uniswap Labs, Morpho, Maple Finance, Kiln, Steakhouse Financial, L1D, and Secureum.
Web3SOC evaluates projects across four dimensions: operations, finance, security, and compliance. It categorizes projects into four maturity levels: Tier 1 (enterprise-level), Tier 2 (mature), Tier 3 (growth), and Tier 4 (early-stage). This system can be utilized by institutions for due diligence and offers project teams a path for self-assessment and optimization. Projects can obtain ratings through Cantina, and the framework will continue to evolve to meet the needs of the DeFi industry.
