PANews June 20 news, according to the official announcement, ZetaChain has completed the Lightning Network upgrade, laying the foundation for decentralized cross-chain transactions. This upgrade mainly includes the following technical improvements: block time target increased by 70%, version V31 will shorten block confirmation time from 6 seconds to 4 seconds, with a future target of 2 seconds; enhanced compatibility for Universal Apps, new support for Solana smart contract triggers (mainnet) and TON chain (testnet); optimization of CCTX speed and performance, with features like signature caching and increased Gas making transactions faster and more stable.

It is worth mentioning that ZetaChain adheres to decentralization, with no centralized sequencer or custodial bridge, and the ecosystem is developing intention layers like Speedrun. This upgrade is just the beginning, and future support will include mainnets like Sui and TON, as well as new features to enhance Universal App development and user experience. Although the block time is shortened to near real-time experience, the final confirmation speed of different chains limits the true 'real-time' cross-chain execution. However, ZetaChain will continue to explore ways to enhance CCTX performance with advanced features.
