A super app is a mobile or web application that can provide multiple services through a single mobile application, becoming an independent online platform for commerce and communication that effectively encompasses everything, including payment and financial transaction processing.

The Super App is an application ecosystem where multiple applications from the same or different sectors are offered together in a single application. While it is mostly presented as a mobile application, it is also possible to encounter Super Apps in the form of web applications. Super Apps, referred to as "süper uygulama" in Turkish, can bring together applications from a wide range of fields such as finance, payment services, travel, food ordering, and messaging.

The social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, is working on a new feature that will allow users to make direct investments and financial transactions through the platform. X CEO Linda Yaccarino stated in an interview with Financial Times at the Cannes Lions advertising festival that users will soon be able to make payments, investments, or trading transactions through X. Yaccarino indicated that the platform will evolve into a structure where users can fully manage their financial lives, saying, "If you want, you will even be able to pay for the pizza we ordered together last night from here." Additionally, she mentioned that the X platform could offer its own credit or debit card by the end of 2025.

It is also possible that super apps will include virtual assistants, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and metaverse experiences in the future. For instance, it will be possible to adjust the temperature of your oven without logging out of the messaging application you are using.
