Telegram founder Pavel Durov has received permission from French authorities to travel to Dubai starting July 10.
He is still being investigated for allowing illegal content on Telegram.
This is not the first time he was also allowed to travel in April but must report to French officials twice a week and has paid a €5 million (US$5.7 million) security deposit. He is still banned from entering the U.S.
Telegram is very close to the crypto world, especially with its support for blockchain mini-apps and digital tokens. One of the key tokens linked to Telegram is Toncoin (TON), which rose slightly by 0.25% to US$2.96 on June 20.
This news might boost confidence in Telegram and TON. If Telegram continues to grow in the crypto space, the TON token could gain more value and attention from investors.
