According to Odaily, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has initiated legal proceedings against the AI search engine startup Perplexity, accusing it of copyright infringement. The BBC claims that Perplexity's default AI model has been trained using BBC content without authorization. The broadcaster has demanded that Perplexity cease using its content and propose a financial compensation plan to address the intellectual property violation. Failure to comply may result in the BBC seeking a court injunction against the startup.
