Visa has partnered with Yellow Card Financial to bring stablecoin payments to Africa, with plans to launch in an undisclosed country this year, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
This agreement marks a key moment in the growing relationship between traditional payment networks and the continent's crypto infrastructure.
The partnership will expand stablecoin payments in Africa.
Yellow Card is a cryptocurrency exchange and stablecoin payment provider operating in 20 African countries, confirming this partnership earlier this week.
The deal will facilitate the use of USDC and other digital dollars in faster, lower-cost cross-border transactions. More markets are expected to follow in 2026.
