The Crypto Fear and Greed Index takes a value between 0 and 100. A decreasing value means that the level of fear in the market is increasing, while a rising score indicates that the level of greed has spread to the market. A value between 0 and 24 means "Extreme Fear". A value between 25 and 49 is defined as "Fear". As you might expect, a value of 50 is considered neutral. A value between 51 and 74 is defined as "Greed", while a score of 75 and above is called "Extreme Greed". When the index indicates extreme fear, it means that many market participants have started to sell. This will create an opportunity to buy at the bottom as prices will fall.
