UPDATE:
Iranian Crypto Exchange Nobitex Hit by $100M Hack, Hackers now Leak Source Code aswell...
Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex suffered a devastating $100 million cyberattack on June 18, with hackers now escalating the assault by leaking the platform's complete source code.
The pro-Israel hacker group "Gonjeshke Darande" (Predatory Sparrow) claimed responsibility for the breach, which drained hot wallets containing Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and other cryptocurrencies. In an unusual twist, the attackers deliberately destroyed the stolen funds by sending them to unrecoverable "burn" addresses rather than attempting to profit from the theft.
"Time's up — full source code linked below. ASSETS LEFT IN NOBITEX ARE NOW ENTIRELY OUT IN THE OPEN," the hackers announced on social media, releasing sensitive infrastructure details in an eight-part thread.
