The countdown for $USDC altcoins has already begun. Once the beautiful country's US stocks are fully tokenized, compliant stocks will be able to circulate and trade on the chain, and those altcoins sustained by empty promises and storytelling will essentially have to pack up and leave. COIN is doing this by making on-chain securities mainstream. Many stocks that have just gone public have a market value of only a few tens of millions or one or two billion; for retail investors, they are not much different from small-cap coins—at least they are regulatory compliant and have real businesses.
