The countdown for altcoins has already begun.
Once the beautiful country's stock market is fully tokenized, compliant stocks can circulate on the chain and be listed on exchanges. Those altcoins that rely on empty promises and storytelling will basically have to exit the stage.
COIN is working on this, turning on-chain securities into the mainstream. Many stocks that have just gone public have market values only in the tens of millions or a couple of hundred million; for retail investors, they are not much different from small-cap coins—at least they are compliant with regulations and have real businesses.
