The Central Bank of Iran has ordered all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges to limit their operating hours to 10:00-20:00
On June 19, Cryptonews reported that the Central Bank of Iran has ordered all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges to limit their operating hours after Iran's largest cryptocurrency trading platform suffered a cyberattack that resulted in losses of more than $90 million.
The new regulations limit trading hours to between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., which appears to be a direct response to the hack of Nobitex, a move aimed at strengthening supervision and reducing the likelihood of future incidents, especially during non-working hours when cybersecurity response times are slower.
