Hackers Helped Burn Notcoin 🔥
I thought it was some kind of joke at first — but it really happened.
Israeli hackers hacked the Iranian exchange Nobitex (that's the name) for $81 million, among which there were 3 billion NOT.
But they didn't take the funds for themselves; they sent them to addresses 🧐
👉 How does the 'burning' of coins happen, even with Notcoin itself? They are sent to some random address that no one has access to. For example, 0x000000...
Since generating a custom address of such length is unrealistic, essentially no one has access to them. The same story applies to the Nobitex hackers.
As a result, the hackers burned ten times more coins than the Notcoiners themselves. Unfortunately, this didn't help the price at all 🤷♀️
The exchange itself seems to promise to compensate for the losses.
Is this a reason to buy?
