"Every action is driven by ether," said Raman to CoinDesk, predicting that "eventually, it will be seen as pure as bitcoin. It will be the neutral asset for the entire ecosystem."

The turning point, according to Raman, was regulatory clarity. "The potential of Ethereum had not been allowed until now," he noted, pointing to the GENIUS Act and the broader political push in the U.S. For years, the classification of Ethereum (as a security or commodity) had been ambiguous. While the ETH ETF has been a catalyst, the real "unlocking" for Ethereum comes from this clear market structure, which allows ETH to "permeate everything: every tokenized asset transfer, every stablecoin transfer, every Layer 2, everything flows through ETH."
