IRAN REJECTS FUEL SHORTAGE CLAIMS, AFFIRMS SUPPLY REMAINS STEADY DESPITE IEA ALERTS
Iran’s Oil Minister, Mohsen Paknejad, stated on Wednesday that the nation’s fuel supply is operating smoothly, assuring the public that there are no issues with fuel distribution. He emphasized that fuel logistics are under control and supplies remain consistent.
While acknowledging that some regional restrictions may be put in place to maintain long-term supply stability, the minister stressed that there are no problems in providing fuel to the population.
He also highlighted the dedication of all staff involved and urged citizens to disregard circulating rumors.
These remarks were made following a cabinet session, as concerns rise regarding international reports about regional instability and its potential effects on the energy sector.
His statements come after the International Energy Agency released its monthly report, which cautioned that global oil markets could face severe disruptions if Iran were to shut the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for oil exports from the Persian Gulf.
