According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on June 18, the hacker organization "Gonjeshke Darande" (Persian for "Fierce Sparrow") announced that it had launched a cyber attack on the Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex and warned that it would release the exchange's source code and internal network information within 24 hours.
The organization accused Nobitex of being a core tool for the Iranian regime to evade international sanctions and fund terrorism, even openly guiding users on how to use its infrastructure to bypass sanctions. The hacker organization also claimed that working at Nobitex was considered an effective military service by the Iranian government, highlighting the importance of the exchange to the Iranian regime.
Previously, this hacker organization had attacked the "Bank Sepah" of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The hackers warned Nobitex users to withdraw their assets as soon as possible, stating that "any assets remaining on the platform after this point will be at risk."
According to previous reports, the Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex was allegedly hacked, resulting in a loss of $48.65 million.
