In her first bilateral meeting within the framework of the G7 Summit, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo spoke with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about deepening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, pharmaceuticals, science and technology, and digital innovation.
"At the G7 Summit, we met with the Prime Minister of India; we strengthen the relationship with Mexico based on investments aimed at scientific and technological development," the president indicated.
The President also spoke with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres; South African President Cyril Ramaphosa; and World Bank President Ajay Banga, reported Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, part of the president's delegation.
President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo met with the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to discuss the update of the trade agreement between Mexico and the European Union.
She said she invited them to visit Mexico. In this meeting, the president was accompanied by Foreign Relations Secretary Juan Ramón de la Fuente; Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard; and Finance and Public Credit Secretary Edgar Amador Zamora.
António Costa congratulated Sheinbaum Pardo on being the President of Mexico and wished that during her term, the relationships between the European Union and Mexico would be strengthened.
