The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has opened a public comment period on Franklin Templeton's proposed XRP and Solana spot ETF, which is set to list on the Cboe BZX exchange. This move will extend the deadline by 35 days to July. Although the SEC has approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, numerous companies are competing to be the first to receive approval for products related to XRP and Solana. Under the leadership of President Trump and new Chair Paul Atkins, the SEC has adopted a more lenient stance on cryptocurrency regulation and has dropped several significant enforcement cases.
