The preliminary GDP, represented by the IBC-Br from the Central Bank, recorded a growth of 0.2% in April compared to March, consolidating the fourth consecutive month of economic activity expansion. Compared to April 2024, the increase was 2.5%, and in the year-to-date it reached **3.5%**. The services sector was the main driver of this performance, with a rise of 0.4%, while agriculture and industry declined by 0.9% and 1.1%, respectively. Despite the positive result, the pace slows down compared to the 0.8% recorded in March. The level of 110.2 points of the IBC-Br is the highest since the beginning of the historical series in 2003. Analysts and the Central Bank itself project a GDP growth of about 2% in 2025.
