Some users of trading platform applications believe that their account is like a social media account, as it is logged in with an email and password.
But in reality, your account on the platform is your investment wallet, so you should treat it with more security measures than any other personal accounts you have.

We previously talked about various methods to secure your account, but in this thread, I will discuss a new method that protects you from recent scams that have caused some to lose hundreds of thousands.

How do you protect yourself from phishing messages?

One of the common scams currently is that a group of hackers sends emails to your email address that you use to register on the platform, aiming to deceive you through a phishing message aimed at stealing your data, which gives them the ability to access your account and steal what is in it before you know.

This process is called 'social hacking', and the focus here is on deceiving you to give them your data, rather than manipulating a code to hack your device.

These can be some of the most dangerous hacking operations, as they occur without your knowledge of what is happening, and you will likely not realize what is happening until all your money is stolen.

However, you can protect yourself from such operations by enabling the Anti-Phishing Code feature.

The idea of this service is that you set a specific word, and this word is known only between you and the Binance platform.

In this way, if you receive any email claiming to be from Binance, you can check whether it contains this word:

  • If it contains it, then this is an official email from Binance.

  • If it does not contain it, then it is a phishing email from hackers trying to deceive you.

How to enable the Anti-Phishing Code?

  1. From the homepage, look for Security

  2. Then choose Anti-Phishing Code

  3. Then specify the word you want to set

In this way, when you receive messages from Binance in your email, ensure that this word is present to verify whether these messages are indeed from Binance or if they are a scam to steal your money.
