💼 What is the FOMC Meeting?
FOMC stands for Federal Open Market Committee, or the Federal Open Market Committee of the U.S. Federal Reserve (the Fed).
This committee meets regularly —generally 8 times a year— to decide on key monetary policy issues, such as:
Benchmark interest rate
Bond buying or selling policy
Economic outlook (inflation, employment, growth)
🧨 Why does it matter for crypto?
Because markets —including crypto— react strongly to what the FOMC says or decides.
📈 If the Fed lowers rates, risk assets like BTC or ETH usually rise.
📉 If the Fed raises rates, investors flee to the dollar, and crypto falls.
🤯 If there is uncertainty or ambiguous messages, the markets get nervous.
