: Special Launch via Cardano – "Midnight"
The Midnight Network is a sidechain launched by the Cardano team, focusing on privacy using zero-knowledge proofs technology. It will feature a dual token system: NIGHT for governance and DUST for private transactions. Charles Hoskinson announced the "Glacier Drop," a free distribution of NIGHT and DUST tokens to around 37 million users from networks like ADA, BTC, and ETH, with institutional investors excluded. The mainnet will be launched in the second half of 2025. ADA holders will automatically receive a share of NIGHT tokens as part of the Glacier Drop distribution to support their participation in the ecosystem.
