#FOMCMeeting The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) is the body of the Federal Reserve of the United States responsible for monetary policy. It is composed of twelve members and meets eight times a year, approximately every six to eight weeks, to discuss the economic outlook of the U.S. and monetary policy options.

The next FOMC meeting is currently ongoing, taking place on June 17 and 18, 2025.

The Federal Reserve is expected to publish its policy statement at 2:00 PM ET (18:00 UTC) on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, followed by a press conference led by the Federal Reserve Chair at 2:30 PM ET (18:30 UTC). This meeting is also associated with a Summary of Economic Projections (SEP), also known as the "dot plot," which will provide insights into the FOMC members' expectations for the federal funds rate at the end of this year and in the future.
