Bitcoin, the majority option for Spaniards… but not for all communities

With nearly 60% representation in the portfolios of Spanish investors, bitcoin consolidates as the most popular cryptocurrency, although its relative weight also changes according to the autonomous community. Aragón leads the interest in this asset, with 64.8% of crypto funds invested in BTC, followed by Asturias (60%), Castilla y León (59.3%), Andalucía (58.7%), and Galicia (57%). However, the pattern is reversed in communities like Cantabria (42.6%), Castilla-La Mancha (34.8%), and Navarra (30.4%) where the presence of bitcoin is significantly lower.

Another cryptocurrency that sparks interest among investors is USDC, with a national average weight of 24.5%, gaining relevance in Castilla-La Mancha (43.1%), Canarias (29.6%), and Cantabria (29.1%), where it represents an important part of the portfolios. In contrast, it has little representation in Asturias (17%), Aragón (14.3%), or Navarra (13.6%).
