#VietnamCryptoPolicy O Vietnam approved the Digital Technology Law, officially recognizing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as digital assets.

This law, passed by the National Assembly, will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

The legislation differentiates between virtual assets and cryptoassets, but does not classify them as securities, digital currencies, or traditional financial assets. This development represents a step towards the regulation of the growing cryptocurrency sector in the country.
