Metaplanet, the Japanese group originally in the hotel industry, has made a radical turn: it is now a Bitcoin buying machine. It already owns 10,000 BTC (approximately USD 1 billion)! On June 16, it acquired 1,112 BTC for USD 117 million, allowing it to surpass Coinbase and become the 9th largest public holder of Bitcoin.

Currently, the price of BTC is at the incredible but still insufficient price of 108 thousand USD.
