#MetaplanetBTCPurchase The milestone of 10,000 bitcoin (BTC) under management has already been completed by the Japanese company Metaplanet. Following the strategy of Michael Saylor and Strategy, this company achieved its accumulation goal for 2025 ahead of schedule.
Simon Gerovich, who is the CEO of that Japanese company, revealed that they reached the target of 10,000 bitcoin in reserve with the most recent acquisition of 1,112 BTC. Now that company has a treasure valued at over USD 1.050 billion.
In January of this year, Metaplanet announced that they would close 2025 with a treasure of more than 10,000 bitcoin. At that time, Gerovich stated that they would use capital market tools to achieve this goal, which has now been fulfilled.
Some of those tools included issuing debt to continue buying bitcoin. This is a strategy initially carried out by Strategy, the public company with the largest amount of BTC under custody, and has been widely replicated among corporations that have their bitcoin treasuries.
The above clearly demonstrates the company's commitment to feeding its own bitcoin treasury, thus fulfilling the so-called 21 million Plan for Bitcoin Accumulation in 2025-2026, which specifically outlined the objective of 10,000 BTC this same year.
