The government there doesn’t say "yes" or "no", but instead says: "Let's wait and see first". Trading in digital currencies isn’t officially prohibited, but it also doesn't have clear legal recognition. This means that if you make millions from selling Dogecoin, don’t dream of being embraced by the bank... instead, you might be embraced by a tax officer with endless questions!

But don’t worry, Vietnam knows that the youth are leading a digital revolution, so it plans to create a legal framework to regulate cryptocurrencies and NFTs... soon, or at least "someday". In the meantime, local trading platforms operate in the gray area, like a Vietnamese ninja, existing but not clearly seen by anyone!

And while the government tries to regulate the market, people trade crypto on their apps as if they are sipping morning tea. Vietnam is moving towards official adoption... with light steps and a crypto smile.
