Donald Trump participated in the "State of Crypto" summit organized by Coinbase for 2025. He emphasized during his speech the necessity of enacting favorable laws to support the cryptocurrency sector in America.

He criticized the Biden administration for its "hostile" policies towards crypto, calling them "unjust."

He stated that his administration ended the "Chokepoint" campaign known as Chokepoint 2.0 from day one. He announced the formation of presidential committees specialized in crypto, headed by Paul Atkins.

He also launched a strategic Bitcoin reserve as part of his support for the sector.

He revealed his support for a new bill named "GENIUS" to regulate stablecoins. He stated that the law aims to issue stablecoins backed by the US dollar.

The law sparked controversy due to its connection to a new stablecoin called USD1. This coin was launched by the World Liberty Financial Foundation linked to Trump. Lawmakers warned of personal conflicts of interest in the presidency due to the project.
