Trump's Move for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF from His Platform: Official Application Made!
Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social announced the official application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETF.
According to information shared by Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart, Truth Social officially submitted the S-1 form for the fund named Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF (B.T.) to the U.S. SEC on June 16, 2025. The sponsor of the fund will be Yorkville America Digital, LLC. With this move, investors will be offered the opportunity to invest in both Bitcoin and Ethereum through a single financial instrument.
The ETF once again highlights the increasing institutional interest in digital assets in the U.S. in recent times. With this step from Truth Social, it is anticipated that the moves of social media giants and prominent figures towards the cryptocurrency markets will continue to increase in the coming period.
While Donald Trump's past stance towards cryptocurrencies was known to be distant, Truth Social's initiative for this ETF is seen as a significant shift in the former president's attitude towards digital assets. Especially, the fact that the ETF includes both BTC and ETH has been interpreted as a direct support from Trump for the two major cryptocurrencies in the market.
