Part 1: The Setup Nobody Talks About
3 years ago, I almost quit trading.
One trade — overleveraged, emotional — wiped out 60% of my account.
But that failure taught me the most important lesson:
It's not about winning more. It’s about losing better.
Here’s what I now do before every trade (and what I wish I knew earlier):
📌 1. Pre-Trade Checklist
✅ Chart clean & clear?
✅ News/events checked?
✅ R:R at least 1:2?
✅ Am I emotionally neutral?
If any answer is “no” — I skip the trade.
📌 2. Trade Only Kill Zones
I trade only 2 sessions:
→ London Open
→ NY Open
No more random entries at midnight or during lunch breaks. Timing matters.
📌 3. No Setup = No Trade
If it’s not my A+ setup, I wait.
No setup? I walk away.
Patience pays more than panic.
📌 4. Post-Trade Journal
Every trade is logged:
→ Screenshot
→ Entry & exit reasons
→ Emotion rating
→ What I learned
📌 5. Weekly Reflection
Every Sunday, I review:
→ Mistakes
→ Winning patterns
→ Emotional triggers
Growth isn’t about more trades — it’s about better ones.
I’m not the best trader.
But I’m still here — because I stopped gambling and started learning.
