Most countries used to criminalize the use of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment or even their possession by individuals and companies, like Vietnam and others.
However, they are surprised by the large number of their citizens holding digital assets, which forces them to accept it, then resort to regulating it, and finally accepting and possessing it.
