#VietnamCryptoPolicy
Vietnam took an important step in regulating crypto assets by approving the Digital Technology Industry Law in June 2025. The new policy classifies digital assets into two categories: virtual assets and crypto assets, establishing clear rules for operations in the sector. The measures include stringent cybersecurity requirements, anti-money laundering efforts, and consumer protection, aligned with international standards. Additionally, the government offers tax incentives and support for blockchain startups, aiming to position the country as a regional hub for technology and innovation. The law comes into effect in January 2026.
