#VietnamCryptoPolicy Vietnam has approved a **historic law** that recognizes cryptocurrencies as property and establishes a clear regulatory framework for the sector. The legislation, called the **Digital Technology Industry Law**, will come into effect on **January 1, 2026** and aims to strengthen the adoption of crypto assets in the country.
The new regulations classify cryptocurrencies into **four categories**: security tokens, payment tokens, utility tokens, and mixed tokens. Additionally, it introduces **tax incentives and subsidies** for startups and local developers, with the goal of retaining talent and fostering innovation in blockchain.
