🔚 Last Bitcoin Coin: The End that Will Create a New Beginning!
Although Bitcoin seems to be at its peak today, there is a moment approaching – and one that has been long awaited – when the mining of the last Bitcoin coin on Earth will be announced. This anticipated moment will occur in the year 2140, that is, more than a century from now, according to the original design of the Bitcoin network which does not allow exceeding the limit of 21 million coins.
Almost every four years, the reward for mining is halved in an event known as "halving", which makes the issuance of new coins slower over time. And today, there are only about 2 million coins left that have not yet been mined, after more than 19 million units have been extracted since the launch of Bitcoin in 2009.
After mining the last coin, miners will not receive block rewards, but will rely entirely on transaction fees to continue operating the network.
This distant date does not mean the end of Bitcoin, but the beginning of a new era of absolute scarcity, which could increase its value more and more over time.
