$BTC For a long time considered wrong in France as an ecological disaster by the political class, Bitcoin (BTC) mining may soon be viewed from a new perspective. In fact, 123 members of parliament have submitted an amendment to mandate a comprehensive study on its relevance in managing surplus electricity.

Elsewhere in the world, other countries have adopted Bitcoin (BTC) mining to stabilize their electricity networks, or are at least studying the issue. While this idea seems far off in France, the struggles of bitcoiners are beginning to bear fruit, as 123 members of parliament submitted an amendment on the topic on Thursday in the National Assembly, as noted by cybersecurity researcher Renaud Lifchitz on his X account.

Within one year of the passage of this law, the Government will submit a report to Parliament evaluating the conditions for the development of Bitcoin mining activities in France, as a tool to harness surplus electricity production, stabilize the grid, and optimize nuclear power plant operations.
