As Metaplanet reported in May 2024, bitcoin represents a "non-sovereign" means of savings that appreciates and can continue to appreciate against traditional national currencies.

The company plans to hold bitcoins for the long term and buy more similarly to what the American Strategy, founded by Michael Saylor, does.
