The Japanese investment company Metaplanet is actively purchasing bitcoins (BTC) as part of its corporate strategy aimed at creating a large bitcoin reserve. According to the latest data, on June 16, 2025, Metaplanet acquired an additional 1112 BTC for $117.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 10,000 BTC. This made it one of the largest corporate holders of bitcoin in the world, ranking 8th according to analytical sources.
