A man bought a cold wallet with a discount through Chinese #tiktok (Douyin) — and lost almost $7,000,000.
Later it turned out that the device had been compromised even at the manufacturing stage: the private key was leaked in advance, and all funds left the wallet within a few hours. The stolen funds were quickly laundered through the Huiwang platform, linked to shadow crypto businesses in Cambodia.
When you buy a wallet for a couple of hundred cheaper, you’re not saving — you’re risking everything you have.
