#VietnamCryptoPolicy
Vietnam has recently passed the Law on Digital Technology Industry, which includes legalizing and regulating cryptocurrency. This law, effective January 1, 2026, establishes a two-tier system for digital assets, distinguishing between "virtual assets" and "crypto assets," and also outlines provisions for cybersecurity and Anti-Money Laundering safeguards. The legislation aims to foster a more secure and transparent environment for digital innovation and attract investment, while also addressing international concerns regarding money laundering and terrorist financing.
