According to Coin World news, citing Israeli media Mako News, Israel has submitted a revised proposal in negotiations with Hamas regarding hostages, suggesting a possible opening for a temporary ceasefire. The new proposal is: Hamas will release 8 Israeli hostages on the first day of the ceasefire, and after 20-30 days of ceasefire, 2 more hostages will be released (previously, the proposal was to release 10 hostages on the first day of the ceasefire and release all hostages after 60 days). Previously, Hamas had rejected implementing a second phase of hostage releases after a 60-day ceasefire, fearing that Israel might resume operations in the interim. Israel's new proposal aims to address this concern, although it is still unclear whether it is sufficient to restart formal negotiations. As of now, no Israeli delegation has been sent to Cairo or Doha, indicating that the agreement remains in the preliminary draft stage. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed on Fox News on Sunday that 'some progress has been made' and stated, 'The prolongation of the war is due to the hostages. I am committed to rescuing all of them.'
