FIFA announced the migration of its Web3 strategy to this new blockchain on May 22, 2025, leaving behind its initial partnership with Algorand, which used token $ALGO . On June 11, 2025, FIFA Collect officially migrated to the FIFA Blockchain.

Thus, while #AVAX (the Avalanche token) is key to the underlying technology, FIFA is focused on its own network to redefine fan interaction and ensure transparent processes in the largest sporting event.

Demand for AVAX is expected to increase as the ticket date approaches in late 2025.
