Binance has announced a significant update regarding the calculation of Alpha Points, effective from 00:00 UTC on June 17, 2025. In an effort to promote market fairness and reduce systemic risks, Binance will no longer count the trading volume of Alpha token pairs toward Alpha Points statistics.
This decision comes in light of recent market activity where tokens such as ZKJ ( $ZKJ ) and KOGE ($KOGE ) experienced sharp price fluctuations. Preliminary investigations by Binance suggest these volatilities were primarily driven by large holders removing substantial on-chain liquidity, which subsequently triggered a liquidation cascade across the market.
To address the risks of concentrated market influence and enhance the integrity of the Alpha Points program, Binance will implement the following change:
> Effective June 17, 2025: Trading volumes generated from trades between Alpha tokens will be excluded from the Alpha Points calculation.
