$BTC Tether's Gold Reserves Approach 80 Tons, Surpassing Indonesia's Holdings
Tether, the company behind the USDT stablecoin, has reported a total physical gold reserve of nearly 80 tons. Meanwhile, Indonesia's gold reserves are below Tether's, at 78.57 tons, according to Trading Economics data.
This places Tether among dozens of countries, indicating that this crypto company is positioned between Australia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Notably, Tether's revenue comes from transaction profits.
In fact, Tether's revenue for last year reached US$13 billion. Furthermore, in the first quarter of this year, Tether has already made a profit of US$1 billion.
Thus, this revenue is directed towards investment instruments, such as U.S. bonds, gold, and also Bitcoin (BTC).
