Iran Deems Nuclear Talks with U.S. 'Meaningless' Following Israeli Strikes

Iran has declared that ongoing nuclear negotiations with the U.S. are now "meaningless" after Israel's largest military strike against its territory. Citing U.S. complicity, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused Washington of enabling the attack and undermining diplomacy.

"The U.S. cannot negotiate while allowing Israel to strike Iranian soil," he said, per Tasnim News. Tehran claims Israel’s actions were carried out with U.S. approval—an accusation Washington denies, urging Iran at the UN to return to talks.

The planned sixth round of nuclear discussions in Muscat now faces uncertainty. Iran maintains its uranium enrichment is strictly for civilian use, rejecting Israel's claims of weaponization. Former U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledged awareness of the Israeli operation but indicated diplomacy remained possible.
