How to create a cold wallet.

Step 1: Download a centralized exchange, such as Binance or OKX, and purchase USDT (Tether) from C2C, then use USDT to buy Bitcoin.

Step 2: Use an iPhone to log into a Hong Kong or Taiwan Apple account, download imToken from the Apple App Store, and download a decentralized wallet like Trust. Create a wallet, save the mnemonic phrase securely, disconnect the internet while creating, write down 2 copies by hand, and store them in a safe. Then buy 2 USB drives to save the mnemonic phrase; for the USB drives, remove the first two English words from the mnemonic phrase and memorize them. This way, even if a hacker cracks the USB drive, it won't be useful without the missing 2 mnemonic words.

Step 3: Check the Bitcoin address of the wallet, transfer the Bitcoin from the centralized exchange to the wallet, then uninstall the wallet. You only need to restore the wallet using the mnemonic phrase if you plan to sell one day; otherwise, it's not necessary. As for altcoins, just keep them on the exchange, as most will end up worthless and are not suitable for long-term holding.
